New Albany Elementary School, Cinnaminson, NJ
  • Implemented community safety unit in a second grade class of 25 students. Unit lessons were included in the language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and health curriculums.
  • Designed lessons and differentiated instruction based on the individual learning styles of each student. Various strategies implemented to supplement teaching included concept maps, listening centers, cooperative learning groups, learning centers, and educational videos.  
  • Utilized technological competencies to familiarize myself with new devices such as the smart-board. Created engaging lessons that included multiple levels of intelligence that maximized participation from the class as a whole.
  • Consulted with the Child Study Team (CST) regarding students’ Individual Education Plans (IEP), and implemented various behavior modification strategies to meet the specific needs of each child.
  • Attended and participated in all Child Study Team meetings, including Intervention and Referral Services (I+RS) meetings, IEP meetings, Evaluation Plan meetings, and both elementary and special education parent-teacher conferences.
